Cannoli Cream Dip

Welcome to the NFL playoffs. It’s one of my favorite times of the year. Football watching parties, loud and rowdy fans screaming at the television (uh, yes, me), and delicious appetizers and dessert to munch on. What’s not to love? And, it all culminates with the Super Bowl, the ultimate sports party.

In anticipation of the Super Bowl, I found a very simple recipe for a cannoli dip, served with strawberries. This is the perfect sweet snack for game day and you don’t feel quite as guilty as you might with other dessert options. This dip is great served with graham crackers, too. Delicious!

15 oz. ricotta cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Strawberries and graham crackers for dipping

Combine the ricotta cheese and sugar in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. Transfer the blended mixture to a medium-sized bowl and stir in cinnamon, vanilla, and most of the mini chocolate chips. Place dip in a serving bowl and top with remaining chocolate chips. Serve with strawberries and graham crackers.

Dip can be made in advance and stored, tightly covered, in the refrigerator for up to two days.
